    The Role:
    You will lead B2B sales efforts for Artron’s GMO testing and food safety products in international markets. This is a hands-on role involving market development, client engagement, and technical advisory, representing Artron at industry events and building long-term relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute sales strategies for South American and European markets.
    • Identify and secure new business with food producers, testing labs, distributors, and regulatory bodies.
    • Educate clients on GMO diagnostic products (PCR, ELISA, lateral flow assays).
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to adapt campaigns for regional markets.
    • Represent Artron at trade shows, conferences, and webinars.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field.
    • 1–2 years B2B sales experience in agriculture, food safety, or biotechnology.
    • Strong technical knowledge of diagnostic methods is a plus.
    • Native-level fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, or other European languages is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

    The student will work on an interdepartmental project that aims to mitigate antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Canadian Broiler Chicken production. Specific duties may include:
    • Collection of broiler chicken fecal and environmental (wildlife and surface water) samples under various feeding programs (organic, raised without antibiotic, conventional) throughout the Fraser Valley.
    • Preparation of microbiological culture media and reagents.
    • Isolation and identification of bacteria such as Enterococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia) as well as E. fergusonii and other Enterobacteriaceae
    • Characterization of bacterial isolates phenotypically by conducting antimicrobial susceptibility testing and genotypically using Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS).
    • Preparation of reports and manuscripts for publication.
    • other duties related to those above.
