    As Molson Coors continues the transfer to it's new, fit-for-purpose brewery in Chilliwack, BC we are looking for great talent to help our new team run smoothly and with a defined process. In the temporary role of Technical Writer, you will support the Project Team and Brewery Operations team by providing technical expertise and core competencies in developing and updating operational documents and learning resources to help define processes. This will include, but is not limited to, standard operating procedures and job aids that are required for training and operator use.

    This position reports into the Fraser Valley Brewery’s Project IM Lead and works closely with the People Development Specialist and Project PEAK Start Up Team members representing the various Supply Chain areas, including Brewing, Packaging, Warehouse, Maintenance, Utilities, Quality and Environmental Health and Safety. This role will be partially based out of the current Vancouver brewery, and mostly out of the new Chilliwack brewery, so all applicants must be comfortable with travel. This temporary opportunity is anticipated to last approximately 10 months.

    3M is seeking a Sales Representative for its Food Safety Division team located in British Columbia.   The successful candidate will make an impact by developing the West and Central Canada markets, acquiring new and growing existing customers with the 3M Food Safety solutions portfolio.

Canadians are aware and sensitive about the quality and safety of their food and there is increased regulation that will continue to drive demand for food safety solutions in the market.

    Main Responsibilities: 

    • Territory management and prospecting
    • Use account penetration analysis from sales analytics to identify leads
    • Attend relevant tradeshows to meet customers, associations, universities
    • Opportunity Management (identifies and prioritizes high impact activities including product demos / evaluations, provide samples, etc.)
    • Communicates with the team: Business /Sales Manager, key account manager, field and inside sales reps in other territories, Marketing and Professional Services
    • Account Management (grows and maintains good relationships with accounts in the territory)
    • Conduct account reviews

    Basic Qualifications:

    •  University degree in Science
    •  Strong communication and relationship building skills
    •  5 years of sales experience in a customer-facing role

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Degree in Microbiology, Food Safety or Food Science

    Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 30% of the time, which may involve overnight stays and will include trips to Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. A valid driver’s license is required.

    On Friday MSFHR opened applications for the MSFHR Health Policy Fellowship (
    http://www.msfhr.org/news/msfhr-news/applications-open-msfhr-health-policy-fellowship), a salary award for post-doctoral level health researchers who want to contribute their research expertise to the health policy development process at the provincial government or health authority level.

    Successful applicants will undertake short-term (up to 12 month) policy assignments within the BC Ministry of Health or at one of the province's health authorities. There are currently six assignments available which address BC health system priorities including substance abuse services, promoting indigenous health and primary care home best practice.

    Hello all,

    Dr. Xiaonan Lu’s Food Safety Laboratory at UBC invites applications for 1-2 Postdoctoral Fellowship positions, with an anticipated start date of May 1st, 2017. The position is located in the Food, Nutrition and Health (FNH) program in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems (Vancouver campus) (www.foodsafetyengineering.landfood.ubc.ca). The successful candidate will execute basic research exploring fundamental stress responses of leading foodborne
    pathogens (e.g., E. coli O157:H7, Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Campylobacter jejuni), bacterial typing, and the roles of new/unknown genetic elements identified through genome sequencing. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Xiaonan Lu (Professor in Food Science) and graduate students, and will be involved in collaborative work with different research laboratories on UBC Vancouver campus. The appointment will be for 1 year with the possibility of extension for two additional years.
