Food Safety Specialist

An exciting and challenging position exists as a Food Safety Specialist at Vega. Reporting to the Food Safety Manager, you will be responsible for advocating quality and continuous improvement with Vega’s raw material and packaging providers through mutual understanding and partnership. Day to day, you will participate in Vega’s ingredient approval process, communicate with both suppliers and cross-functional team members, review and interpret food safety documentations, and assist co-manufacturers to continuously improve on quality and efficiency. We are looking for outgoing individuals who are eager to learn in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. This position is located at Vega’s HQ in Burnaby, BC.  During the exceptional circumstances due to COVID-19, we are currently working virtually while our office remains open for access.
