Quality Control Manager

Job Description

Abbotsford Blueberry processor looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee all quality and food safety programs for our facility. The facility is GFSI certified and needs the right person to maintain the program. This position will report directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

Oversee all QA Department activities
Hiring and supervision of QA staffEnsure compliances as set out by CFIA, the SQF Institute, our major customers, etc.
Develop and monitor programs, SOP's as needed to maintain food safety certificates
Be the contact person and lead for all food safety audits and communication
Train, and reinforce coaching of production staff on GMPs, HACCP, Sanitation, etc.
Work in conjuction with the General Manager to maintain the Health & Safety program of the company
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as applicable

Qualifications

Successful completion of a Bachelor Degree in food science or relevant work experience in the food quality field (Berry processing field preferred)
GFSI certification training, HACCP, GMP
Demonstrated experience as a Quality Control/Assurance Manager in the food production industry
Proficient in Microsoft, especially Excel
Strong oral and written communications skills in English
Able to work independently with little daily supervision
Self motivated, will be given full control of department with positive results expected
Health and Safety leadership

Able to make decisions in a fast paced environment
Willing to work overtime as required during the season which will include evenings and weekends (will recieve time during off season as compensation) competitive salary with benefits

Molson Coors is looking for a Temporary Quality Analyst to join our Vancouver brewery team as well as our Chilliwack brewery after July 2019. Performs monitoring, training and expert problem-solving related to the maintenance of quality assurance systems and procedures across operational units. This person works with minimal supervision and requires extensive knowledge in specialized functions of quality control. All candidates must be comfortable with transitioning to the Fraser Valley Chilliwack brewery after July 2019.

This position reports to the Quality Team Leader and works closely with the Operations team.

As Molson Coors continues the transfer to it's new, fit-for-purpose brewery in Chilliwack, BC we are looking for great talent to help our new team run smoothly and with a defined process. In the temporary role of Technical Writer, you will support the Project Team and Brewery Operations team by providing technical expertise and core competencies in developing and updating operational documents and learning resources to help define processes. This will include, but is not limited to, standard operating procedures and job aids that are required for training and operator use.

This position reports into the Fraser Valley Brewery’s Project IM Lead and works closely with the People Development Specialist and Project PEAK Start Up Team members representing the various Supply Chain areas, including Brewing, Packaging, Warehouse, Maintenance, Utilities, Quality and Environmental Health and Safety. This role will be partially based out of the current Vancouver brewery, and mostly out of the new Chilliwack brewery, so all applicants must be comfortable with travel. This temporary opportunity is anticipated to last approximately 10 months.
